The newly completed chevet of Clear Creek Abbey Church The monks of the traditionalist Benedictine abbey of Clear Creek recently sent out the following e-mail: Dear Friend of  Clear   Creek , The construction of the chevet of the Abbey church is coming to completion. We are very grateful to all of you who helped make this possible by your prayers and generosity and sacrifices. The work was held up by some supply problems and cold weather, but the masons were laying the final stones on February 2nd, as we were celebrating the Lord's Presentation in the Temple.  H/t to Fr. Jeffrey Steele  Deacon Nick Donnelly reports a huge turnout Westminster Cathedral Reconsecration to Immaculate Heart & crowning of Our Lady of Fatima. He states:- "I've been reliably informed that 4,000 people attended the reconsecration & crowning of Our Lady, with hundreds outside in the plaza."

Later, Our Lady appeared in Lourdes 18 times between February 11 and July 16 in 1858 to a simple peasant girl, Bernadette Soubirous, where the Blessed Mother declared she was the Immaculate Conception. Thus began a succession of miracles, which make Lourdes that great marvel that has shone in the eyes of the whole world ever since. The two events are very connected: a miracle confirmed a dogma. While the public may be aware of these two events, many are not aware of how they are related to the problems of the nineteenth century, which were so different yet so similar to our own.                          ...
